CEA MCI-Index: Municipality Composite Index

The CEA MCI Index is giving overall base for comparison among Macedonian LSG. It facilitates targeting for decision makers not only for the central government but for the donor community as well. CEA believes that the CEA MCI Index will be useful for the local governments and officials in making strategy and development plans as well as making comparisons among themselves and boosting competition among them in Macedonia.

The CEA MCI Index is based on 28 variables as presented in the following illustration:

Ranking system

The ranking system is aimed at assessing the socio-economic performance of Macedonian LSG.
